Policy Against Abuse, Crypto Mining, and Spam on Square Cloud

By hosting an application on Square Cloud, the customer bindingly accepts a series of operational and legal guidelines. The platform operates under a shared computing infrastructure model, which means that editorial control and responsibility for the executed code belong exclusively to the customer.

To maintain a safe and stable ecosystem, Square Cloud enforces a strict policy against severe illicit activities, technical abuse, and malicious automation.

1. Prohibited Activities (Severe Illicit Activities)

The identification of any of the activities below grants Square Cloud the right to apply immediate suspension or permanent termination of the service, without entitlement to any type of refund, in addition to proper notification to the competent authorities.

Systemic Risks and Illegal Activities:

  • Mining and Digital Assets: It is strictly prohibited to perform cryptocurrency mining, staking, farming, or similar activities without express authorization. Using the service for illicit purposes related to tokens, NFTs, or fraudulent schemes is also forbidden.
  • Fraud and Scams: Running, hosting, or distributing content aimed at phishing, digital scams, financial fraud, social engineering, embezzlement, or pyramid schemes.
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Zero tolerance for any material involving abuse, sexual exploitation, grooming, or violation of minors' rights.
  • Hate Crimes and Violence: Content that incites, promotes, or glorifies terrorism, extremism, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Cybercrime: Distribution of malware, ransomware, spyware, or the execution of cyber attacks, denial of service (DoS/DDoS), brute force attacks, and unauthorized scanning.

2. Forbidden Technical and Operational Practices

In addition to legal offenses, there are technical limitations designed to protect the physical and logical integrity of the servers. It is prohibited to:

  • Bypass Controls: Attempting to access kernels, hosts, hypervisors, internal administrative interfaces, or bypassing the usage quotas of the contracted plan.
  • Reverse Engineering: Attempting to decompile or extract the internal logic of the platform's infrastructure.
  • Abusive Workloads: Running intensive workloads such as Machine Learning (ML) or data mining without prior authorization.
  • Account Abuse: Automating account creation in an abusive manner or creating multiple profiles to circumvent platform restrictions.
  • Inadequate Storage: Using the infrastructure as a generic file repository or for third-party backups.

3. Guidelines Against Spam, Scraping, and Automation

Square Cloud allows the execution of bots and automations, provided they respect the rules of the platforms involved (such as Discord's or Telegram's Terms of Service). However, the following are considered violations:

  • Mass Messaging: Disinformation campaigns, traffic manipulation, sending spam, or any unsolicited electronic communication.
  • Abusive Scraping: Conducting mass data collection (scraping) in an abusive manner or without a substantiated legal basis.
  • Identity Masking: Concealing or dissimulating traffic origin, the identity of the responsible party, or the real purpose of the application in a misleading way.

4. Enforcement, Reports, and Penalties

Square Cloud does not perform continuous monitoring or prior curation of what is running, but it technically analyzes reports and signs of violation.

Immediate Action Rule: Conduct involving severe illicit activities or imminent risk to the security of the service will result in preventive and immediate blocks. For other report cases, the platform will seek to contact the customer for clarification before making a decision.

Applicable Sanctions:

  1. Temporary suspension of the application.
  2. Permanent termination of the account with the deletion of execution environments.
  3. Withholding of financial amounts in proven scenarios of fraud or bad faith.
  4. Forwarding the case to competent judicial and administrative authorities.

5. Liability and Terms Updates

  • Third-Party Disclaimer: Square Cloud has no corporate or commercial ties to the third-party platforms that customers integrate into their code (such as external APIs) and is not responsible for their failures or decisions.
  • Data Responsibility: The customer is solely legally liable for damages caused to third parties and must maintain their own backup routines (snapshots).
  • Compulsory Updates: This policy may be amended at any time for technical or legal adaptations. It is the sole duty of the customer to consult the document periodically; the continued use of the service after a modification constitutes full, irrevocable, and binding acceptance of the new rules.
