How to file a hosting abuse report.
1. How to Identify if Content is Hosted on Square Cloud
Before submitting an abuse report, you must confirm that the content in question is actually being served by our infrastructure. There are three main ways to check this:
A. Default Domain
Applications that do not use custom domains typically use the platform's official subdomain:
B. Request Headers
For websites utilizing custom domains, you can inspect the page's HTTP headers.
- Open the website in your browser.
- Press
F12to open the Developer Tools and navigate to the Network tab. - Reload the page and click on the very first request (the website's domain).
- Look for the following field within the Response Headers:
x-square-cloud-id: If this header is present, the application is hosted on our servers.

Files, images, or scripts hosted on our object storage system (Blob) use the following origin address:
2. What to Include in the Report
To enable our compliance team to take swift action, providing as much technical context as possible is crucial. Please prepare the following information:
- Type of Abuse: (e.g., Phishing, Malware, Defamation, Copyright Infringement).
- Full URL: The exact link where the abusive content is located.
- Proof and Evidence: Screenshots, header logs, or any document that demonstrates the violation.
- Detailed Description: Explain why that specific content violates the platform's terms of service.
3. Official Reporting Channels
There are two ways to forward your abuse report to our Trust & Safety team:

The fastest way to get your report processed is through our official form, which properly categorizes the required information:

4. What Happens After the Report?
Once received, the report undergoes a technical review:
- Verification: We confirm whether the content violates our Terms of Service.
- Action: Depending on the severity, the owner may be notified to remove the content, or the application may be suspended immediately.
- Privacy: Your information as a reporter is handled with strict confidentiality, in accordance with our privacy policies.
