How to Reset and Disconnect Your Account Sessions

Keeping control over where your Square Cloud account is logged in is a fundamental security practice. If you left your account logged into a third-party device, lost your phone, or simply want to perform a preventive security cleanup, you can force all devices to disconnect simultaneously.

Below, we explain how to reset your active sessions and the correct way to grant third parties access to your projects.

🔄 How to disconnect all active sessions

To terminate access in all browsers where your account is currently logged in, follow these simple steps:

  1. Access security settings: In your dashboard, navigate to the My Account > Security section.
  2. Terminate sessions: Under Sessions, in the Danger zone, click "End all sessions" and confirm.
  3. Log back in: Once confirmed, all login sessions in browsers are ended. API keys (used by the CLI, the VS Code extension, SDKs and the API) are not affected: if you suspect unauthorized access, review and revoke keys under Security > API keys. To keep using the platform, you will need to sign in again on each device you want to use.

Warning: This action takes immediate effect. Make sure you can access the account's email (to receive the login code) or a linked login (Discord, GitHub or Google) before you continue, to ensure you can get back into your account.

🤝 How do I share my account with third parties?

We do not recommend sharing direct access to your Square Cloud account (your login email or connected accounts).

The most secure way to allow third parties to collaborate on managing your applications is by using Workspaces (available from the Standard plan: up to 5 workspaces on Standard and 10 on Pro/Enterprise). This way, each team member uses their own isolated account to log in.

By using Workspaces, you maintain full control over your security and can:

  • Define scope: Choose exactly which applications can be accessed.
  • Dynamic management: Grant or revoke permissions at any time, taking effect immediately.
  • Granularity: Control the level of access and actions of each member in an individualized and secure manner.
